Kord’s Fashion Empire

The global fashion brand MESHKI, known for its accessible luxury and celebrity appeal, was built from the ground up by two Australian-Persian friends, Natalie Khoei and Shadi Kord. Their journey began not in a fashion house, but at a university in Sydney, Australia, where they were both studying architecture in 2013. United by a shared passion for style and a vision to create clothing that empowered women, the pair decided to channel their creative energy into a venture that would soon redefine online fashion.

The initial investment was a testament to their humble beginnings: just $200 each. This modest capital launched an e-commerce business that initially focused on selling curated fashion accessories that reflected their personal style. Operating from their desks as architecture students, Khoei and Kord leveraged the burgeoning power of social media, particularly Instagram, to build a loyal following. This digital-first approach allowed them to connect directly with their target demographic of young, trend-conscious women.
