Persepolis discovery

A smaller but important site with early Sasanian carvings, including coronation scenes of Ardashir I and Shapur I. Spring (March–May) is ideal, with comfortable temperatures and vibrant landscapes. Autumn is also excellent. Plan at least 3–4 hours for Persepolis itself and a full day if combining it with Naqsh-e Rostam and Pasargadae. Walking through Persepolis is not just a historical experience—it is an emotional one. Many visitors describe a profound sense of calm and reverence as they explore the ancient terraces.

The desert wind whistles softly through the broken columns, and the vast open sky above creates a connection between past and present. At sunset, the limestone glows golden, giving the site a sacred, almost otherworldly presence. This powerful atmosphere is often compared to ancient temples or pilgrimage sites, even though Persepolis was not a place of worship, but a space of ceremony, unity, and imperial grace.
