The Bahraini archipelago has long since been part of the Iranian empire and part of the land of Iran, but during the Qajar period, the British government used the weakness of the central government to separate the island from Iran. The country has gradually increased its influence over the Bahrain under several contracts with Bahrain, and later announced that since the beginning of the contract with Bahrain, the British Empire has in fact identified the Bahraini Sheikh independently of Iran.
