For his dissertation he transferred about one ton of desert soil (salt field) to Germany and analyzed it during 4 years. He obtained his Ph.D in 1966 (1345), as the best student of agriculture in Germany in that year and received numerous awards on the occasion from the relevant authorities in Germany.
