The stadium also hosted Asian Club Competitions Finals: AFC Champions League final on three occasions: in 1999 , 2002 and 2018 and Asian Cup Winners Cup final on two occasions: in 1991 and 1993. Azadi Stadium also hosted WAFF Championship Tournament in 2004 and 2008.
