Hesamuddin Ashna was born in 1343 and is a politician. He is currently the head of the Center for Strategic Studies, an advisor to the President, and a professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Culture, and Communication at Imam Sadegh (AS) University. He was one of the president’s entourage during Hassan Rouhani’s first visit to New York to attend the 2013 UN General Assembly.He is one of the representatives of the President in the Supervisory Council of the Radio and Television Organization.
As head of CSS and advisor to the president, he was in a key role shaping cultural and strategic discourse. His work on cultural diplomacy indicates a blend of scholarly and policy-oriented interests, which is somewhat distinct in politics. His early media involvement and interest in how communication and culture affect foreign policy highlight his focus on soft-power dimensions. His alignment with the Moderation and Development Party situates him in a more moderate/reform-oriented segment of politics, rather than hardline conservative camps.
