Born on August 16, 1972, in Isfahan, Luna Shad was raised in Paris, where she pursued a degree in intercultural management and received acting training. Shad served as a lead anchor for Voice of America’s Persian Service, hosting the nightly program “Shabahang” and producing cultural and artistic video reports. She directed the documentary “Keys to My Home,” which explores the experiences of journalists seeking asylum in Turkey and their subsequent relocation. Luna Shad appeared in “Sleepers,” a video installation by renowned director Abbas Kiarostami, and acted in “The Scream of Ants,” a film by acclaimed director Mohsen Makhmalbaf.
