Through his blog, Panjareh Eltehab (Window of Anxiety), Sigarchi shared critical insights about the political and social landscape, amplifying voices that were often silenced by traditional media. Sigarchi’s bold reporting and outspoken nature inevitably drew the ire of the authorities. In 2005, he was arrested and sentenced to several years in prison on charges related to his journalistic activities, including “insulting the Supreme Leader” and “propaganda against the state.”
