Gathering celebration

This event was a blend of gratitude, ritual, and joy, showing the deep relationship between the environment and the divine in Egyptian life. In ancient China, by the time of the Eastern Zhou dynasty (770–256 BCE), people were already conducting elaborate seasonal festivals tied to agriculture and ancestor worship. One of the most important was the Spring Festival, a direct ancestor of what we now call Chinese New Year. These early festivities involved food offerings, firecrackers (in rudimentary forms), and dragon imagery to ward off evil spirits and attract good fortune.
