A Family Story Across Generations

Mona Bankipour, born in Khordad 1359 (June 1980) in Tehran, is an actress and director. A graduate of directing, she began her career in acting, but after her divorce from Amin Hayai she faded from the spotlight. Now, after a long time, she has returned. Mona Bankipour married Amin Hayai in 1374 (1995), when he was 25 years old and still at the beginning of his acting career. However, this marriage ended in divorce after one year, following the birth of their son, Dara.

She professionally acted in the TV series Khab o Bidar (Sleep and Wake) directed by Mehdi Fakhimzadeh in 1381 (2002), playing the role of Daniel Hakimi’s wife. She later appeared in the film A House in the Sand in 1382 (2003), but afterward she emigrated abroad for a period of time along with her son. Following his debut in Sholehvar, Dara Hayai gradually attracted attention for his resemblance to his father and his calm on-screen presence. His performance marked the beginning of a new generation entering cinema, and media outlets began to follow his career more closely.
