Nikolai Pahlavi, whose full name is Cameron Nikolai E. Pahlavi, was born in London in 2006. He is the only son of Prince Cyrus Pahlavi and Anna Pahlavi. His father is the grandson of Princess Ashraf Pahlavi, twin sister of the last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. This makes Nikolai a direct descendant of the Pahlavi dynasty, which ruled from 1925 until the monarchy was abolished in 1979.
