In 2006, Tehrani appeared in Asghar Farhadi’s Fireworks Wednesday, portraying Mozhde Samiei. The film became an important work in the development of Farhadi’s internationally recognized style of social and psychological drama. Tehrani’s performance further demonstrated her ability to communicate tension and emotional complexity through a restrained acting approach.
Another notable project was Bahman Ghobadi’s Half Moon (2006), in which Tehrani appeared alongside a large ensemble cast. The film received international attention and was awarded the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Tehrani’s later film work included The Wooden Bridge (2012), No Date, No Signature (2017), Israfil (2017), and Orange Days (2018). She also appeared in the television series The Accomplice (2020) and the film Majority (2021).
