A singer is a professional in the music industry who performs vocal arrangements of music. Professional singers use specific vocal techniques to control the volume, pitch and tone of their voice. Singers may perform songs with or without the accompaniment of musical instruments or other singers. They often perform in front of live audiences or record performances in a studio by singing individually or with others who comprise a band, ensemble or choir.
