Writing is a viable career if you treat it like a viable career. Writing is NOT a viable career if you treat it like it’s NOT a viable career. Like Henry Ford famously said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” Our expectations matter. Our beliefs matter. If we think it’s possible to make a living doing what we love most, we will be willing to make the sacrifices and investments and put in the time necessary to achieve that goal.
