An Actor portrays a character in a film, using their physical presence or voice. It involves researching every aspect of the character, memorizing dialogue the Screenwriter has written and developing their own emotional life so it can be authentic on screen. In addition to the work required for a role, Actors must constantly audition for their next job. Should an Actor gain a level of success or notoriety, they typically will also need to be present for promotional events and media tours to market their film or other project.
