Beyond filmmaking, Maghsoudloo is an active figure in the global cultural community. He has organized and curated film festivals, served on juries, and lectured at institutions such as Columbia University and the School of Visual Arts. His scholarly writings on cinema and art history have been published in various international journals and anthologies. He is also the founder of Bahman Maghsoudloo Productions, a platform for independent documentary film production focused on biographical, historical, and cultural subjects. Through his work, he aims not only to document history but also to challenge audiences to rethink the stories they believe they know.
