Bella Hadid hospitalized

Hadid was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, at just 16 years old. The tick-borne illness can cause fever, fatigue, joint pain, and neurological symptoms. For some patients, including Hadid, the disease leads to chronic complications that flare unpredictably and interfere with daily life. Bella has previously revealed how the illness has impacted her career and mental health, saying that even simple tasks like getting out of bed or remembering lines can become daunting during flare-ups.

In past interviews, she has described waking up with severe pain, struggling with brain fog, and feeling emotionally drained by the cycle of temporary relief followed by relapse. The Hadid family has been open about their health challenges. Bella’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, and younger brother, Anwar, also live with Lyme disease. Yolanda, who has championed awareness efforts, recently said it has been heartbreaking to watch Bella suffer through “endless treatments and setbacks,” adding that much of the pain is invisible to outsiders.
