Talking about personal life, Maryam married choreographer Arvind Thakur in the year 2012. For this, he converted to Hinduism. They both have a son Ayan Thakur, who was born in 2015. Now Maryam is rarely seen in films but is quite active on social media. She keeps sharing photos, videos with fans on Instagram. At the moment, she spends more time with the family.
Maryam is very active on all social networking websites, and posted about the beauty of Jaipur constantly during her short trip. She said, “I love my fans, I can’t explain how grateful I am to them. So, I like interacting with them. I try to reply to as many messages as I can, but I can’t please everyone. If I decide to sit and reply to every single message, tweet or comment, I won’t be able to do anything else in my life. So, sometimes I come up with things like a Saturday chat. It’s a lot of fun.”
