Erika, who frequently supported her husband at his events, was crowned Miss Arizona USA in 2012, per her biography on her website. She often shared photos of her time holding the crown, including visiting the Pentagon, volunteering and bonding with other pageant contestants. She was also a basketball player at Regis University before transferring to Arizona State University, where she received a degree in political science and international relations.
Erika went on to obtain her master’s degree and pursue a doctorate degree at the conservative, Christian school, Liberty University. Erika frequently worked alongside Charlie and his organization and appeared at various events and interviews with him. She is the host of the Midweek Rise Up podcast, heads the BIBLE365 ministry program and founded the faith-based apparel line, PROCLAIM.
