Wynn Resorts has announced it will close its Wynn Las Vegas and Encore properties beginning on Tuesday and continuing for two weeks. [custom_adv] MGM Resorts will close its properties, announcing casino operations will close on Monday and properties will close on Tuesday. Caesars Entertainment announced on their verified Twitter account that all live ticketed performance would be suspended beginning Sunday night. [custom_adv] These are the latest in a series of high profile closures in the US amid the coronavirus pandemic, including Broadway theaters and Disney theme parks. The Las Vegas closures come more than a month after Wynn, MGM Resorts and other companies had to shut down operations in Macao. [custom_adv] The government in Macao ordered the suspension of gambling and other related industries for about two weeks last month after one of Macao's confirmed coronavirus cases was discovered to have worked in the gambling industry. Wynn-Encore and MGM Resorts International announced Sunday and the Venetian, which includes the Palazzo, announced Tuesday that all of their Vegas properties would shut down as travel to the gambling and entertainment city declines.
