Ahoo Kheradmand is a distinguished and enduring figure in Iranian performing arts, nurtured in the world of theater. She began her acting career as a teenager on stage and has continued her artistic journey with quiet perseverance across cinema, theater, television, painting, and literary translation. A permanent member of the Cinema House Academy’s jury, Ahoo Kheradmand has been nominated several times for Best Actress at international festivals such as Fajr and the Cinema House Celebration, and she received the Best Actress award at the City Film Festival.
Despite being away from Iranian cinema for many years, she continues to pursue her artistic path through painting and translation. Ahoo Kheradmand currently resides in Vancouver, Canada. Close-Up International Film Festival aims to support short-film makers, including young filmmakers, independent filmmakers, and indigenous filmmakers. The festival also aims to provide a close-up view of recent, creative, quality films to the viewers in BC, Metro Vancouver, Canada and across the world.
