The project comprises of a programme of community engagement, research and educational activities that use fashion and making to address locally experienced issues (such as deprived youth, skills shortage, fashion manufacturing decline, and unemployment) and activate a legacy of socio-economic change. His ambition is then to develop a framework that can inform research, education, and practice in the emergent field of fashion activism and to further knowledge of fashion design for sustainability and social innovation.
