Death positivity is growing, but the movement is still in the outreach phase, executive director Chavez says. Jorgenson says the movement has more of an academic appeal to young people who are yet to really experience death. There’s a growing trend toward natural or green burials. A natural burial essentially returns a body to the earth, with no chemicals, allowing it to decompose naturally with little damage to the surrounding environment.
