Jahan grew up in the suburbs of Austin, Texas and attended Anderson High School. He graduated from Anderson with the class of 2014 and is now attending The University of Texas at Dallas. His commitment to science and engineering can be tied to his close relationship with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He was presented with a unique opportunity due to his aunt, Janet Kavandi, being a veteran astronaut and scientist and introducing him to the field of space flight and aerospace engineering. He is often quoted saying that his “most inspirational moment yet was witnessing the Launch of STS-91” where his aunt among other astronauts launched to the Russian Space Station, Mir.

The report lists defendants who were convicted by Revolutionary Tribunals in the period from their inception until 12 August 1979. The list of victims and charges is drawn from sources including translations of indictments, reports of trials carried out by local and foreign media and the bulletins of the official Pars News Agency reports. International human rights organizations have drawn attention to reports indicating that the Islamic Republic’s authorities have executed individuals on trumped up charges such as drug trafficking and other criminal offences. The exact number of people convicted based on trumped-up charges is unknown.
