The original Taj Mahal was built between 1632 and 1653 by the Mogul Emperor Shāh Jahān as a mausoleum for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. “What could be better than building the Taj Mahal? This house is a symbol of my wife’s love” – Mr. Chouksey shared. “Mrs. Mumtaz Mahal passed away in Burhanpur after a long illness. This city was famous for that, but now it will also be known for the second Taj Mahal,” Mr. Chouksey said proudly. Construction of the house began three years ago and Mr. Chouksey’s family moved in this year. Since then, their house has been visited by many locals and tourists.
