The Duchess’ appearance Tuesday marks her first major public outing since her absence from King Charles III’s coronation on May 6. She was spotted that weekend hiking with friends near her Montecito, California home. Her latest award comes weeks after it was announced she won a Gracie Award for her podcast “Archetypes.” Markle and Harry were also honored as laureates at the Ripple of Hope Awards, hosted by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization, in December 2022. The distinction is granted to “exemplary leaders across government, business, advocacy, and entertainment who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to social change and worked to protect and advance equity, justice, and human rights.”
