She graduated from Brown University in Providence, R.I., with a degree in film and international relations last year, and has since been following in her parents’ acting footsteps. Carys made her professional stage debut in June, playing Nina in Anton Chekhov’s tragicomedy The Seagull in Brooklyn. In an Instagram post reflecting on her experience portraying the character, she described it as a “lovely time.”
Speaking at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala in October 2025, she told PEOPLE about her background in the arts and her hopes for her acting career. “I grew up doing theater, and I didn’t study acting in school, but that’s why I’m happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that,” Carys shared.
