Shahram Pahlavi-Nia, born on April 18, 1940, in Tehran, is a member of royal family and the son of Ashraf Pahlavi, twin sister of the last Shah. His father, Ali Ghavam, was a prominent diplomat and the eldest son of Mirza Ibrahim Khan Ghavam, Qavam ul-Mulk. Shahram’s mother, Ashraf Pahlavi, was a significant political figure and women’s rights advocate in pre-revolutionary. Shahram Pahlavi-Nia married Niloufar Afshar in 1966, and they have a son, Cyrus, born in 1969. In 1987, he married Naz Alam in a ceremony in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and they have a son, Amir Ebrahim, born in 1974 .
