Touring is a common form of performing. When you decide to go on tour as an independent artist, you, your band and your manager are typically responsible for planning, organising and managing all aspects of it. This includes contacting venues to check their availability, making travel and accommodation arrangements, finding sound engineers to take on tour with you and developing performances. When you’re organising a tour, you typically earn money from ticket sales, which you split with the venue.
