Queen Jehan Sadat died

Diba, and Jehan Sadat have a friendship that started in 1970 when President Anwar Sadat stepped up to power in Egypt and established a higher level of relations with the Shah of Iran, including a number of memorandums and political and economic agreements unmatched in bilateral relations. Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, found refuge in Cairo after the Iranian Revolution on January 16, 1979. A little over a year later, he died from cancer and was buried in Al Rifa’i Mosque in Cairo where his father, Reza Shah was also buried.
