Born on October 31, 1960, in Tehran, Reza Pahlavi was the Crown Prince until the 1979 Revolution, which led to the overthrow of his father’s government. After the revolution, the Pahlavi family fled, eventually settling in the United States. Reza Pahlavi has consistently opposed the theocratic rule and calls for a secular, democratic system that respects human rights, free elections, and gender equality.
