Cops told the paper that no arrests have yet been bee made in the beating case, and that the investigation was ongoing. It is not currently know if the beating was related to his death. CCTV footage showed Mirshojae was waling to his Lexus that was parked outside the clinic when the gunman ran from the entrance and shot him without hesitation. Mirshojae was ambushed by three men with baseball bats and beaten outside the clinic just a few months before his murder, according to staff. His wife and six-month-old baby were in Turkey at the time of the his assassination and are believed to be on their way back to the US.
