On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered bars and nightclubs to close for 30 days and directed restaurants to cut their seating capacity by half. That same day he said that beaches could remain open but that groups of more than 10 people would not be allowed in one place.The edict wasn’t enforced. Aerial pictures of hundreds of thousands of beachgoers hit the national airwaves and shocked people in other states where even major thoroughfares were empty.
