Emma started playing tennis at the age of five. Her parents, a shy child, encouraged her to try different hobbies to build confidence. She said. “Dad threw me into every sport you could imagine. I was riding, swimming, tap dancing, basketball, skiing, golf and go-karting. All alongside tennis.” At the age of 12, she won the first International Tennis Federation trophy under the age of 18.
