350,000 people are directly affected by pollutants in the area; pollutants from heavy metals in the city’s atmosphere. 99% of the inhabitants of the region are infected with blood diseases – especially leukemia. Very high death rates before reaching adulthood. The successive acid rain has eliminated all agricultural and vegetable fields in the area.
