Actors take on roles and and perform scenes in various settings. Often required to take on multiple roles, actors must be flexible enough to remember lines, read from cue cards, and create a performance that is suited for the contracted task. Actors may also be required to sing, dance, and modulate speech as required by different roles. Actors do not need any formal degrees or training. However, formal training and prior experience may be beneficial. This can include a Bachelor’s degree in theater or other related degrees, or training from known acting schools or coaches. Actors must have exceptional communication skills and be able to work collaboratively. This role may also require strong interpersonal skills and a notable ability to handle sudden changes.
