News anchoring is probably the single most teleprompter-heavy hosting gig around. If you want to have a chance in hell of getting a job, you’d better make sure you’re an expert prompter reader. You also need to be comfortable speaking directly to camera, as that’s essentially the entire role. Examples include “E! News,” “The Rachel Maddow Show,” “Access Hollywood,” and “Extra.”
