Trump, 76, is set to become the first US president to face criminal charges at a New York court on Tuesday. The charges have not yet been made public but involve an investigation into a $130,000 hush-hush payment via a Trump lawyer to Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. Daniels, 44, claims to have had sex with the tycoon in 2006 – an allegation denied by the ex-president although he admits the payout. He is expected to face more than 30 charges relating to document fraud.
