Who is Dr. Shahab Pahlavinia Hillyer

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at Georgia State University as a distinguished Magna Cum Laude graduate and attended medical school at the University of Texas, Galveston (UTMB). I started my residency in 2004 at Brookdale University Hospital (Brooklyn, NY) with two years of general surgery training followed by four years of urology residency. During my residency I was involved in a number of research projects that placed me second in basic science research among 100 participants at the Ferdinand C Valentine competition in 2008. Prior to completing my residency training in 2010, I had three peer reviewed articles published, a number of podium presentations at our national conference and involved myself in a number of volunteer services providing cancer screening for prostate cancer. Additionally, I worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering, which exposed me to high quality urological cancer care.
