who is Jaleh Diba

The Pahlavi era (1941–1979) encouraged modernization and internationalization of Persian art and culture. Many women from elite families were educated abroad and became key figures in arts administration, curation, and preservation. These women—like Layla and possibly Jaleh—were instrumental in shaping  artistic landscape both before and after the revolution. While not the subject of media interviews or scholarly publications herself, such appearances signal a role in high-level artistic patronage, not unlike that of philanthropists who choose to remain behind the scenes.
