Florez was born and raised in Olivos, a neighborhood in the Buenos Aires province, in 1981. In school, she played hockey, did impressions of her teachers, and took acting, dancing, and singing classes. In 2000, she joined the musical group Las Primas. In 2001, at the age of 20, she married the group’s producer, Norberto Marcos, who was more than 20 years her senior. Despite their age gap, the duo were married for over two decades. Marcos was the one who gave her the stage name, Fatima, based on Our Lady of Fatima, a Catholic title of Mary, the mother of Jesus. In a 2023 interview with Telefe, he said: “I was the only one who believed in [Florez]. Not even she believed in her and we didn’t have a cent.”
At a young age, Fatima decided on her vocation and dreams. By the age of 19, she joined the musical group Las Primas while simultaneously working as a dancer and choreography assistant in a local theater. Later on, she started parodying famous characters, a move that allowed her to focus and showcase her talent. Flores also ventured into presenting. Her television appearances were as diverse as the individuals she parodied. Flores and Milei have been a couple since July 2023. They gave their first joint interview on Mirta Legrand’s program, where they initially met at the end of the previous year.
