He was much lauded for his performance in 1975’s Tangsir directed by Amir Naderi and 1978’s Sooteh-Delan by Ali Hatami. But Vossoughi also had an international career, one of the first Iranian actors to do so. He appeared in Caravans in 1978 directed by James Fargo, co-starring Anthony Quinn, and Jennifer O’Neill, and The Invincible Six in 1970 with Curt Jurgens while he was still living in Iran.
