Kharchakh Prison is home to more than 1,200 women prisoners charged with murder, armed robbery and drug trafficking. In this prison, the classification and separation of crimes is not observed , and some members of the political prisoners’ family, compare the deplorable conditions with the Kahrizak detention center and referred to it as “Kahrizak II”, because this prison has a very poor health situation.
