Mahmoud Mortezaeifar (1934 – 10 May 2013) was a prominent religious and cultural figure in post-revolutionary, widely recognized for his role in shaping the atmosphere of the Friday prayers in Tehran and for popularizing religious slogans as a unifying force during pivotal moments in the nation’s modern history. Nicknamed the “Minister of the Slogan” (Vazir-e Sho’ār), Mortezaeifar was a close figure in the Islamic Revolution’s early public expressions.
