Dariush a Journey Through His Personal Life

Dariush Eghbali, known simply as Dariush, is one of the most influential and recognizable voices in modern music. Born in Tehran on February 4, 1951, he spent parts of his childhood in different regions, including Karaj and Kurdistan. His musical talent became apparent at a young age; according to his official biography, he performed on stage at his school when he was only nine years old.

Dariush began his professional music career in the early 1970s. At around the age of twenty, he was introduced to television by Hassan Khayatbashi. His early success came with the song Be Man Nagoo Dooset Daram (“Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”), which quickly established him as a distinctive new voice in popular music. His deep, emotional voice and expressive style helped him develop an identity that was different from many of his contemporaries.
