The Master of Theater and Cinema

Nasirian joined the department and collaborated with other greats like Ezzatollah Entezami, Jafar Vali, Rokn al-Din Khosravi, and Abbas Javanmard to create the People’s Theater Group. Together, they brought theater to a broader audience through early television broadcasts. In 1965, with the inauguration of the Sanglaj Theater—a historic cultural venue in Tehran—Nasirian and his group began staging productions that would become landmarks in theater. These performances blended tradition with modern sensibility and played a crucial role in the evolution of dramatic arts in the country.
