Parviz Meshkatian Born in 1955 in Nishapur, the city of poetry and mysticism, artistic journey was rooted in both tradition and innovation. As a virtuoso of the santur—a Persian hammered dulcimer—he not only mastered the complexities of this ancient instrument but redefined its expressive possibilities. Under the guidance of great masters at the Tehran Conservatory of Music, Meshkatian immersed himself in the radif, the canon of Persian classical music, and later became one of its most devoted and creative interpreters.
