Irene Zazians died on July 28, 2012 in Tehran, at the age of 85, due to complications from lung cancer. “Ms. Irene was my pioneer and she was a very kind and respectable lady. Now that she is gone, everyone praises her,” the actor Jamshid Mashayekhi said of her.
