Brigitte Bardot, 91, urgent hospitalization

French stars Géraldine Pailhas, Victor Belmondo and Hippolyte Girardot will star in the biopic, an industry source has claimed. Brigitte Bardot, now 87, starred in 47 films including the classic And God Created Woman during her acting career, before she quit the movie industry in 1973. She graced the cover of Elle magazine as the age of 15 before she was launched to fame after starring in the 1956 film And God Created Woman, where she played a sexually liberated young woman that saw her become a sex symbol.

Brigitte married filmmaker Roger Vadim in 1952 but they divorced just years later in 1957, however went on to work together in The Night Heaven Fell. In 1959, she tied the knot with Jacques Charrier and they had a son Nicolas together before splitting up in 1962. She then married millionaire Gunter Sachs, divorcing three years later, before she tied the knot with far-right political aide Bernard d’Ormale in 1992, who she is still with today. Since retiring from acting, she has devoted herself to the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, which she set up in 1986 with money raised from selling off her jewellery, while she runs an animal sanctuary in the French Riviera resort of St Tropez.
