MONACO ZOO
While it’s one of the smaller institutions on the list, a visit to Monaco zoo is unique and special experience. Opened by Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1954, the animals all have one thing in common – none of them were purchased, they come from circuses, were abandoned or donated.
